But how did I come to focus all my attention on Sjogren's, when it seems that so few health practitioners are paying it much attention, let alone dedicating an entire practice to it?

Well, it's because when I embarked on my Nutritional Therapy training, it was with a strong desire to help people who are suffering with illnesses that are chronically underserved by the mainstream medical system.

And so, when I encountered the fact that Sjogren's is by some counts the second most prevalent autoimmune condition, and that both the general public and even many health professionals aren't aware of it, it just blew my mind. I really couldn't believe that such a debilitating condition affecting so many people was being so sidelined. And that to this day, so many people suffering with it (often undiagnosed) are still being told it's all in their head, just a 'normal part of aging' and just recommended eye drops.

As I delved deeper into it, I began to feel that it was my 'calling' to use all of my nutritional training and experience to help bring healing to people suffering with Sjogren's - and so Beyond Sjögren's was born.

Thankfully, there is so much that can be done nutritionally to address all of the symptoms that Sjogren's brings, as well as to reduce the risk of developing additional autoimmune conditions that is unfortunately so common with Sjogren's.

And by focusing solely on Sjogren's, it means that we are able to address every single aspect of the illness with a specificity and thoroughness that very few, if any, other health practitioners in the world are able to.

Since graduating from London's College of Naturopathic Medicine with a degree in Nutritional Therapy, I have utterly devoted myself to studying everything to do with Sjogren's and nutrition in the scientific literature. I have also undertaken specialist post-graduate study in Functional Immunology and Autoimmunity under the renowned Dr. Datis Kharrazian of the Kharrazian Institute of Functional Medicine in the US.

I'm a full member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), as well as the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and as such I am fully insured for safe practice.

We currently work with patients across the UK and USA (excluding NY/NJ), via Zoom.
